suzuki 9.9 can it charge??

I have a 04' Suzuki 9.9 manual start. Is there a way to rig this up to charge my battery? If so what do I need to get in order to make it happen? And about how much will it cost? Thanks in advance for the help

You should be able to install a rectifier, don't know how much they cost. You should be able to contact any Suzuki dealer and they should be able to set you up.

So I called about the part and I guess 05' is the first year they started making it so it looks like I am screwed this time. Probably just have to get a new kicker chase the feature could really help out a lot!! Thanks for the input guys

You should check Serial Number and Model Number to be shure . The Model 05 and newer have coils already installed and its just adding rectifier/regulator , fuse wire harness.

The 96-04 you have to add coil under the flywheel for charging circuit. The coils came in 2 versions a 80 watt 6.5 amp and 30 watt 2.5 amp. The 30 watt was listed as a lighting coil/ battery and 80 watt was listed as a battery charging coil. The 80 watt coil is obsolete part and is no longer available.

You still might check if a Suzuki shop might have one ?

So it could charge by adding charging coil, rectifier , regulator , harness and fuse, $250 parts , but might be hard to get hold of now. but might be worth call ?
