Rickreall Creek Dallas

I'm from the Rickreall Fairgrounds neck of the woods. I've tried near that little park, but there were only 3-4 inch fingerlings. Is there a better spot around where I fish?

Bigger fish are usahlly gunna be found in the deeper holes. And Rickrealle isnt full of giant trout most are small. Fish alot of water and you will find them. Also a ton of people fish by the park.

thanks. you mean the park by the fairgrounds, right?

he meant the park in dallas. that creek is going to be packed with people this year,very unfortunate since there are not a whole ton of fish. if your lure fishing deep holes are the best. riffles/runs have fish too but the fish in riffles/runs are easier to catch with a fly by far. once it hits august the water gets low/warm and the fishing kind of turns off

Anybody know some good flies for the bass in the resivoir? I want to get those fish out of there and dead.

i havent done it much but i assume anything that looks like a small trout would work.

I'll PM youa new fly I tied with guinea fowl feathers. Looks like a spotted trout.

Depends on time of year. Bass's feeding increase as the water temp increase. SO overall the colder it is the deeper and slower bass will move, Heavy weighted streamers in natural colors olive brown green in clear water, so that would be good for the reservoir. Work em slow near the bottum. Warm sunny days would be your best luck. The warmer it gets the better it will get for bass, and the faster you can work your presentations and in shallow water.

So all in all wooley buggers, Zuddler, zonkers, any streamers would be good. I dont know in they are crayfish in there but if there are those would be a really good choice.
