I do - about 4-5 feet of 25lb mono.

Yes, a mono leader allows for some softer action to allow the lure to hunt from side to side.

I don't run braid on my plug rods. I prefer a high vis mono.......

If the plug is a swimmer, its getting 50lb leader at a minimum.

True Dat!!! No benefit to light leaders. Much to be saved by a heavy leader on a cherished Kwikfish!

If I'm fishing fall Chinook , I use 50lb. Big game Trilene, If I'm fishing Shallow for Springers , I use 30lb. Maxima Ulta Green , If I'm towing someones car I use a rope.
