acr 2680 transceiver install

i just ordered a acr 2680 transceiver from jim atboe marine. i am installing it on my 17 ft. arima sea chaser with a skip tower on it. all of my electronics are lowrance,gps and vhs nmea 2000.has anyone installed the acr 2680 transceiver on a similer boat?

The ACR system is nmea0183 @ 38,400 baud. So, N2K will not really enter into your install. Look for an open nmea port that has a speed option for 38400. You'll be good to go.

Most of the time a Class B is used where there is a lot of LARGE vessel traffic, i.e., Seattle area. So, I haven't had a lot of request for those around here. I've probably done 8 Class B installs.

thanks for the information hot wire. i was fishing the sw corner in uclulet on the west side3 of vancouver island two years ago in the fog ,we could hear the fog horn on a ship but could nt see anything. the ship popped out of the fog about 75 yards from us.this scared us pretty good! i swore i would nt get surprised like that again.l
