Default Building a call list for springers

OK,

Gas is gonna be over 4 bucks soon and I still want to troll.......................

19 foot NR sport jet ( full cover ) that loves to burn gas. I usually launch at Portco but depending on where the bite is, I'm flexible. I will probably be getting an OR. license, so the Willy is a possibility, especially with a 2 fish limit. I will only fish 3 guys total out of my boat and last minute trips will be a regularity do to my work schedule.

What I'm looking for; Non smoking and limited alcohol intake. A few beers is fine but drunks need not apply...
Bring your own gear or use mine. Help with gas costs if we are trolling.

I'll troll or sit on the hook, depending on conditions. If you have local knowledge of an area, so much the better. I'm an avid/experienced small river fisherman but admit to a bit of intimidation from the big river.

PM me if you want to be on the call list.

Dave Here, I'm game, glad to split cost and knowledge, bate, what ever the needs, I too have a boat but mine is really only good for two but I can do 3 if needed. Older version of what you have, but it floats and runs and so far for about 7 years keeps bringing me back to the ramp I put it in at :o)
I am thinking about going fishing Monday (should be the only nice day for days), I too have a bit of a weird work schedule but with lots of days off ( yup for fishing :o)
Anyway drop me a line if you want to hook up for some catching

I would be game for to be put on the list. I will pay my way, and I have some gear. Will bring elk summer sausage and pepperoni sticks for lunch.

I do not smoke, and do not drink alcohol when fishing. Fishing is to important for me to drink.

Do not have any knowledge for this part of the run. Now if you want to go to Drano, I know Drano.

If you'll consider taking a woman, I don't drink on the water and never smoke. I have been on the Columbia and local lakes. I do not know rivers around SW Washington. I am getting an Oregon license to fish the Willamette for Springers this year. I will bring lunch for all/snacks and I will pay my way for fuel. I have a 16' Four Winns fish/ski better for lakes but have the gear for the Columbia. I can bring my own gear as well. Husband now works most weekends and I need a fishing buddy.

No problem, if your husband doesn't have a problem!!
Gear can be yours or mine. I have plenty. if you have a secret brine, that's even better!!

I have cleaned out some of my PMs' so ya'all can PM me now. Gotta hit the sack for tomorrows' fishing trip so it's PM's for now.

I've got about 25 names/numbers. If I've already gotten back to you then That is probably all the partners I'll need for now. Any more and I'll spend the day on the phone and never go fishing!!

Thanks for all the replies.
Lets's go fishin'

George,
Does that mean the captain/pilot, the two deck hands and a dog need to be fed? Sounds like charity work to me.

All kidding aside I look forward to meeting you and hopefully being part of some sort of a blood bath.

Still not sure about fishing Salmon this season. If i do, i would much rather you fished with me on my boat. Any chance of that happening? You could also school me on twitchin a jig for ho's. Looks like you got a great list already!

Mike,

Sorry I hadn't seen this post or I would have gotten back to you sooner.

Looks like the last week of March is wide open now. My scheduled days off are March 25-31. I'll plan on at least 3-4 days on the river for springers. You guys and gals who wrote, please get back to me if you see this and let me know what days you are available. I'll be making calls during the next week to get things set up. As soon as the water levels stabilize it's game on!!

I didn't see this post. I responded earlier to join your call list. I'm off work all week (thru 3-31) and available. I'll be fishing my 20 foot willie predator tomorrow, Friday (off winter storage) and bringing a friend Sunday. I can do the friend thing again Monday or do other. Open Wedesday thru Thursday or will be dragging my Willie around. I usually fish the I5 area but have done Davis/Cat too. Give me a call anytime during the day if you want a real time report too. 503-310-8645. Just fun to see people catching fish. I don't mind sharing.

The fishing has been kinda slow to heat up. I'm off throughout the 31st but the steelies have been biting better than the springers. I'll call you when I get home today. I'm out the door to take a couple of pictures................

Geo,

that is so cool i had a dog just like that in looks, he was a golden retrevier/Golden lab mix and his name was baily. We had to give him away when we moved out of the farm house when i was younger. Sure makes me miss my baily.
