What kind of boat do you have? There are several launches to choose from. Other question is where are you trying to fish?

I just happen to know of a few since I live about a mile from the river.

Thumbs up Re: Where to launch in Woodland, WA?

For me, Beebes is great for the added touch of security of always having someone around. $5 for piece of mind is well worth it.

No secret, just a little spot that`s perfect for a smaller boat/ 4x4, PM because it aint meant for everyone, if you bring a big sled and are not prepared you`ll be disappointed. Not many fish being caught out there yet but we`ll get em, they got to go right by here to get to there. Bill

Couple more weeks and this spot will be producing. Troll the OR side of the channel, top pilings to the bottom pick em up and head back up for another down hill troll. Mighty kind of you to offer directions to the "free" launch there Bill, good karma to come no doubt.

Couple more weeks!!!!?? Bettter get the first one before then, they`re going by RIGHT NOW. If only I had a bit more daylight after work I`d be there, putting the boat on the trailer in the dark. When`s daylight saving time?, there`s fish to be caught if I can get out there with some daylight, haven`t fished in the dark for a few years and not about to take up the glowball/blinkie thing again anytime soon. Bill

"Be producing, and picking up to what this spot is on a great day." I'm a believer, and I've seen a few fish caught here. This coming Saturday night we spring forward.

Kalama marina is free, they`ve got great security too. Those with bigger boats and expensive tow rigs should launch there and run the boat up to where you want to fish. Not too far to St helens/Warrior rock from there. Bill

BeBes is a great place to launch BUT. If you have a big rig and the water is low I would try somewhere else. The ramp ends pretty steep underwater and I have seen more then one person almost rip the axle off.

There two types of people that use that launch, thieves and victims.

Better launches in the area, BB's, Peikins, Ridgefield, Kalama and the Port of Woodland for small boats (pass required).

Wow! Great info guys! I hope we can get some action before having to move up to the melee by I5. With the shorter season this year, it is going to take dedication and luck to bring home something for the freezer. Last year we didn't start really catching them until 4/9

I hate spending my time worrying about the rig while fishing - I'll probably try to launch at one of the more secure locations.

Thanks!

Crystal
