Wow, there are a LOT of nice pic's! I just got a cam about a month or so ago, wanted to verify that we have a cougar on our place. That's been confirmed! What's interesting (and a bit spooky) is that my girlfriend's son and I went up to swap the memory card and relocated the camera. When we finally got home to check out the pics and sorted through about a hundred shots of branches blowing in the wind, we got a money shot. Then we looked at the time and date, and it was taken less than two hours before we got there, and when I checked the camera the second time, had pictures of the cat less than two hours after we moved it! (it's not a good shot so not posting it). Anyway, here are a few from mine...

A couple of new bucks came in that servived the rifle season.

4x3

And another 4x3

And the peanut butter buck lost one side on his head. Yesterday I harvested him with my late season archery tag. He came in at twelve yards.

And him before he lost it.

Well like so many of you on this thread, I went to get my camera today and lone and behold, it was GONE.

THANK YOU to the person who stole my camera off my brother in-law's property. Maybe you weren't supposed to be there, maybe you think you're doing someone a favor by removing it, or maybe you just needed it more then me. And just to compound my frustration, it was my new cuddeback Capture. Haven't even owned the damn thing for 5 months. Apparently a bear box with 4" lags just isn't enough.

So again, to the kind person that decided they needed a camera more then me; thanks. I would write so much more about how I feel but the moderators would probably ban me from i-fish for a long time....

From the land of Big Sticks,

There has got to be some sort of clever setup to get back at the crooks that steal cameras......I just don't get it, most of them you can set a code to lock the camera so when they try to use it it's worthless, they must be stealing them just for the 'fun' of it.

Well, thanks to my brother in-law my camera has been FOUND! He did some talking around and found out one of the neighbors that used to have access to the land "took" the camera because they didn't think it should be there

No clue what condition the camera is in yet, but at least it's been found. From what my brother in-law says though, the guy is sort of a pain so I told my brother in-law if he has trouble getting it, we can get the law involved.

Anyway, just thought I'd let everyone know!

Lets get this page back on track!!!! Keegdun; you got my vote on cuddeback!!!!

So glad you were able to figure out who took your Cam Matt. I would go straight to the law, you can add to the fact that "used to have access" isnt the same as "have access"...kind of like trespassing.... I just keep hoping nobody finds where I leave mine...one is still in the same place after 18 straight months...and the other is way over east that I will have to retrieve via snowmobile in december when i get back over that way...

Glad to here you may retrieve your camera. Any details on how they removed it from the tree? Sawsall, pry bar, ect. Just curious. I just built A hopefully bullet proof box for my camera, but now I'm having second thoughts. Its only been out for a week and a half, and so far only the four legged critters Great thread love the pics.

It appears they used a crowbar and an axe. The tree was a cherry; we had a helluva time getting the lags in with a socket wrench and it looked like the lags just popped out like it was nothing. Stay tuned, barring they didn't destroy the memory card wee shall see how they did it!

A few more days and the season will over with and I can put my cameras back in the woods!

Just not worth the risk of losing one.

Went and checked my cam today. Got a couple new small bucks. nothing special. I have started to notice the larger bucks are hangin back and not getting close to the flash. Never seen the flash be an issue before but this is in an area that they may associate light with danger.
