In the summer of '08 (june) my utility trailer was stolen from my front yard
Had a tongue lock and chained
In the middle of the night it was stolen half full of garbage
Reported it to police with a good description
I watched the nickle ads and craig's list
Two weeks later I saw an ad on craig's list for a trailer lot off of foster
If I remember right it was around 74th behind a plaid pantry
The next morning I drove over there after work (graveyard)
There it was out in the middle of the lot by itself in plain veiw
Called the portland police they sent an officer, the lot was not open, but the officer called them later posing as a buyer and made an appointment
The officer called me and I got my trailer back that afternoon without the garbage
They busted the guy that owned the lot and he rolled over on the guys that were stealing trailers for him
A week later a portland police detective knocked on my door wanting to know about some garbage dumped about a block away from the trailer lot
I explained the theft to him and he said that's another charge against the theives
So, watch any trailer for sale ads and cruise the trailer lots you just might get lucky like I did

They have to sell them somewhere
