Default North River Rods?

Does anyone know who makes North River rods? I'm looking for a few 7' back bouncers in 40# and I can't seem to find them on line?

WWGrigg & Co. made those rods for Fisherman's marine until an issue of warrenty came up. The company warehouse in Canby is currently selling Northriver rods 3 for $100

Geeze anyone going to Canby soon?

Also Elstads Reel Repair in Salem used to sell Grigg rods as well for about the same price, I dont know if he still does or if he's even in business still. He was having some health problems last time I was in his shop...

Yep it's Fishermen's house brand so I don't think you'll find them online anywhere.

I have two of the backbouncers and they are outstanding for all around salmon fishing. Trolling herring, pulling divers, wobbler fishing- they do it all really well. I have yet to have a wobbler takedown on one that didn't stick.

Put another fish in the box today with a North River backbouncer. If they really are available in Canby 3 for $100 it's time for a road trip. They were a bargain at $46.88 sale price, less than that is a steal.

regards, aw

These are great rods. I have been using them for years and have never had an issue with them. If you are unable to get them from the warehouse, Fisherman's always has them on sale the day after Thanksgiving for $35-$40 a rod.

You might want to double check this but we have a guide friend who uses them for his clients. Granted, you certainly don't want one to break but if it does, you just take into Fishermans and they give you a new one. I'm assuming a guide's equipment gets used pretty hard so that should be a good testimony.
