Default Piebald Poll: Shoot or No Shoot?

This is my daughter's first year of deer hunting with me. She's got both a buck and a doe tag. Where we hunt there is a pretty sizeable piebald doe. We've patterned her pretty well and can likely pin her down opening weekend of doe season. So the question is: shoot it or leave it - considering only the piebald quality. If you'd leave it, I'm curious why.

Please do not start a debate about doe tags and harvest. There are literally tons of deer where we hunt and this is a fantastic opportunity at a high percentage hunt for my daughter's first deer.

Thanks!

If it's a legal doe take it. Why reward poor genetics?

It's not snowball is it? Should be a reward on those genetics.

Once skinned they all look the same.
I'd shoot it.

Kaitlyn did well her first day. We didn't see much, but she was very safe, followed instructions and really enjoyed being in the woods with dad and grandpa. It was a great day to be out with her. No complaints and she wasn't even disappointed that we didn't see much. Hopefully within a week or two, I'll have some pics of her with blood on her hands.

What?? Shoot a poor old doe, what this world coming to???
Just flaming NO NO JUST TEASING
I would not hesitate a second to pull the trigger on a doe , when your eating it I don't think you can tell the dif between a buck or a doe.

Do It To It..

Saw one this morning about 0930. It and two other deer were slowly walking along West Marine Drive and refused to leave the road. Wish I had had a camera.

Just got a call from one of the other hunters in our area and he said that she's still in the same spot. Doe season opens Saturday, so hopefully she'll still be around. She's a nice size old doe and will make for a nice first kill for Kaitlyn.

Piebald deer have the largest population on the east coast and you can end up with some pretty incredible looking animals that people sware are albino when in fact they are not pretty rare on the west coast as I hear it but becoming more common If I can figure it out I will post pics of the one my dad shot on Seneca Army Depot in upstate New York in the early 90s the depot has the worlds largest population of White deer you can check it out by searching white deer or Seneca army depot I grew up there and have seen a few Have one hanging on my wall for a conversation piece ya know kids first deer shoot it

SNOWFLAKE! is that you?

I myself would most likley pass on the Piebald doe if there were other doe's that were just as easily availible. Not for any particular reason other than wanting the oppourtunity to maybe see another unigue deer down the road. If she was the only doe I could locate I wouldn't call her Piebald, I'd call her pepperoni!
