Because commercial harvest is illegal in most states. Red Lake tribe in Mn. does have a small commercial operation but most are sold locally.

I did a remake of a trailer similar to that, turn bunks 90 degrees and cut to length, added 3 keel rollers and brackets on the back. Not the best driftboat railer but functional and easy to use.

It's no different than catching the majority of springers in the lower river and the up river fisherman getting screwed repeatedly. Everybody is for improving fish runs as long as they don't have to...

Check the wire mesh fuel filter, I've had mine clog a few times. Just follow your fuel line and remove the one screw.

By not changing the mortality rate more wild fish survive. If they made it 5% we would just fish longer to kill the same number of fish. This way more fish are surviving than being acounted for which...

It is intended to be what is best for the fish, which current proposals seem lack. I'll say it again we can't harvest are way to recovery!

Close all hatcheries there by eliminating overharvest, bycatch, hatchery fish spawning with wild fish. Use the mitigating dollars that were for hatcheries to improve habitat and let mother nature...

You are correct they don't have anything do with those things that have depleted are wild runs but they do or did have control over hatcheries which are part of the problem. This plan doesn't fix any...

I understand the benefits of removing the nets, but those gains for wild fish and sturgeon will be used up by longer season in the LCR and upstream of the dams. It will allow us to harvest more...

So where is the conservation? While I am for the removal of gillnets esa impacts will still be met. Maybe not in the lower river but it will be used to fuel longer or more frequent upriver fisheries....

They make quick release mounts to remove the trolling motor for when you want to chase salmon.
