You think crab will eat anything, so did I. A couple of years ago a guy I know caught a whole bucket full of small crappie and bluegill.. We thought what great crab bait fresh fish...So we loaded up...

We did and it didn't make a difference, swim baits, iron, THE KITCHEN SINK . They just weren't on it for us.

Here is our tuna report for today or what there is of it:palm:

Headed out of port around 6:15 pea soup fog about 75/100yds vis...Water not bad out to 7 miles, the fog lifted to about 1000yd vis...

I took one of my wife's plastic shoe boxes...Works well and can store quite a few in there ans still have room on the ends for extra plug cutter and scent bottles. She has the the ones the have snap...

I did that this past weekend, thought my crew was going to keelhaul me. We ended up using a one burner propane stove, took forever but worked.. Won't do that again, I hope...I can relate...

Just wanted to thank all that made suggestions, the first two fish on Sunday came from downriggers a nice 25 and a 28!!!! I really liked all the suggestion and went with the mono top shot (30lb)....

Sunday it was on fire 5 mile south in 150 feet of water...Two nice Chinooks 1@30lbs and nice grade of coho. Tagged in about an 1hr..The Chinooks came from downrigger to 60ft. 6 bites six...

I have always had good luck using divers and inline torpedo lead for ocean trolling..I thought that getting down to that 60/80 foot level might help with the Chinooks so I though the down riggers...

Was headed west to the North end of the pile got near the Weather buoy and dropped in never left...We were just a mile east of buoy...Blue and pink hoochies and chunks...behind fish flashes???...

You have to keep the boat moving..If you a at a stand still or very slow skates will have time to chew..., try putting the kicker motor in and out to speed up drift...Works for us...
