Agreed!!! I got mine fish today with the boat being less than 8' from the beach and in 4-6' fow. I was fish low in the river on anchor. Out of the 7 rods in the mini line there was just the one fish...

If it just hard clump but pretty dry and not real sticky I have had good luck with the wife's vita mix (fancy blender). Or if it just got some minor clumps a flour swifter can help some.

I would use white oak. That said if you cant find that you can make it out of glued layers of Marine ply wood like a glulam beam is made. You can get the Marine ply wood at Par lumber.

Same here. I have tried many other 10.5" rods but these are the king in my mind. I have been using these rods for the last 4-5 years and really can not think of better rod for a chinook bobber rod....
