Re: Umpqua deer

Don't draw it without private access.

WHITETAILS: I would not know where to hunt that tag without access to private. I live in the heart of the Columbia Whitetail area near Roseburg. My dad's...

Re: What's. My odds of drawing Nevada buck?

Nevada does not post enough data to truly know your draw odds. They only post the number of applicants who applied for a given tag as their first choice. In Nevada all five choices are valid in the...

Re: What is your MPS (Miles Per Shed) rating?

I've only had one great shed trip. We were deer hunting in Colorado in a unit that gets a lot of shed hunting due to the size of bucks in the area. Surprisingly we found 13 sheds, one set was 190+...

Re: Who put in for Wyoming Elk?

Scoutdog, something to consider….Unit 124 has been highly promoted in the past couple years by Eastman's and Huntin Fool as one of the top units in the state. The draw odds will likely stink this...

The Wyoming draw results came out as follows:

Any day now.

Re: Who put in for Wyoming Elk?

Actually Colorado does not have a cap on points for sheep, mountain goat or moose. The way I understand how the system works in Colorado, for these three species, is you are not into the draw pool...

Re: Mt emily buck hunt

I third that. It is the best deer hunt in the state. Go kill the biggest blacktail in your life. I had the tag in 2009 and refer everyone to it.

Re: Melrose Elk

I had the tag in 2011 and killed a 6x5 on publicly accessible ground the day before the archery hunt opened. I hunted something like 15 days. There are not a lot of elk.

Re: Anyone using Reconyx Trail Cameras?

When I did my research, Reconyx rose to the top and Bushnell was my second choice. I finally elected to go with Bushnell since I could purchase about three times the number of cameras, so for the...

Re: Rod Holders, Folbe Jr or...Senior?

eyeFish, it looks like you are using the "adjustable extension post" with the Folbe Advantage JRs. Are you happy with that set-up and the strength of it? We typically troll 8-12 ounces where I fish...

Re: Rod Holders, Folbe Jr or...Senior?

I want to upgrade to the Folbe rod holders.

Would the Folbe Jr's work well with Lamiglas XCC965GH or XCC1066GH with a Shimano Tekota 500LC, or should I go with the larger Folbe.

Re: Arizona ?? My son is heading that way

One more thought. Your son should take Hunter's Safety when he is there. He will get a PERMANENT bonus point once he completes the Hunter's Safety course in Arizona. He can do the course and test...

Re: Anyone try the Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel yet?

Exactly!

I have no idea why Toyota does not sell their four door diesel pick-up here in the US. They have been selling them in other parts of the globe for well over 20 years.

Re: Inline muzzleloaders

I think the Knight Disc Extreme is the best multi state muzzleloader and is extremely accurate with it's Green Mountain barrel. Get the "western" kit for Oregon (a different bolt assembly), and the...

Re: Arizona ?? My son is heading that way

If your son becomes a resident of Arizona, he should SERIOUSLY look into buying a lifetime hunting license, especially if he plans to move out of Arizona after school.

If I understand correctly,...
