Just wanted to post a picture of my friend's first deer. 23 yard shot quartering away. No blood trail (on hands and knees for an hour after blood died out in ten yards) but she didn't make it 75...

Thanks for the reply. We were intending on going in August before he goes back to school. He nor his parents are hunters so they aren't very open to the idea of missing a couple of days of school...

Go explore a lot of new areas and look for animal sign. You might not necessarily see a lot of animals when scouting because it's so thick but if there is sign then they have been there.

Yup! We have foot measurements on the side of the boat but we wanted to get the girth. Unfortunately my friend didn't get slapped this time.

Sorry guys. I didn't include ducks or any birds besides turkey. I'm a bowhunter so these were just the animals in my mind. I did forget whitetails, though.
