Evenrude 48 spl question

I have an Evenrude 48spl that I ran on the hose for a few minutes the other day now I have some black sludge leaking out from behind my prop. Do I have a problem or is this normal?

I get 4-5 years out of a pair, but I wear them year round in my work boots. They are always comfortable, and have never stretched and sagged like normal wool socks.

The boat seems to run about 30mph so I guess the tach must be reading wrong. Is there a way to get the tach to read right.

Wescos are not even in the same class as Danners. I just bought my first pair of Wescos and they are amazing. I have worn Danners for years and they are not even close.

where are some spots to catch bass and other fish near Lincoln city. I was thinking the rocks near devils punchbowl, but I am not sure past that. Any help would be great.
