Re: Why hide your spot in your pics

bucketmout makes excellent points. I have no problem telling people about areas that I know hold fish. I cannot be on the water all the time, so I'm ok with sharing. I get what others have said about...

Re: Mystery tackle box???

Gotta agree. One thing too I figured out long ago is that because some Pro uses something in Fla or some Pro won the Bass Masters Classic using a specific lure...doesn't mean you have the secret lure...

Re: 4-26-14 REPORT and small rant

Nice fish. I too can relate to being cut off by a boater as I was headed to a particular spot. Most don't, but some feel they are entitled. Fishing in a tube, I don't have that speed advantage, but...

Re: Official Golf Course pond thread

I like it, and nice fish, tho hiding the background I've never understood. I think most would never figure out where...and if a few did...so what. They probably knew any way. Especially a golf course...

Re: Bass with Rooster Tails

Buddy saw an older lady in a row boat once tossing rooster tails near docks and just hammering the bass. Really ****** him off since he couldn't touch a fish with his "bass" gear. To me, a rooster...

Re: Shimano Baitcasters

I have 6 older Curados and a Scorpion from Japan. I can't speak for the newer ones...but I will never let go of my older Curados. They flat work.

Re: line for bass

I agree with Trilene XL. I use 10 lb. in green. Nothing fancy but it just works. Always liked McCoy Mean Green too. Lots of lines out there and lots of opinions

Re: What do ya think of the new lures?

Welcome to the world of bass fishing. Everyone and their brother has an opinion, experience, and whatever on bass fishing. Lines, lures, rods, reels, and techniques. They all work. Try and find...

Re: What do ya think of the new lures?

Nice selection. A lot of people will add to what you have....drop shot...finesse...etc. I would say toss what you like and have confidence in, in a given situation or time of year, and what you catch...

Re: When can I start catching them?

BlackBass summed it up. There is no magic temp to catch bass. Water is cold so think slow...fish now! I toss jigs and Zoom Brush Hogs this time of year.

Re: Shimano Clarus vs Berkley Air Im8

Just got a Clarus for free from a guy that didn't need another rod...odd...I know. Can't wait to try it. To me, this is like a question about line. Ask, and you will get several different answers....

Re: When do you usually wrap it up?

Where I'm at...Western Wa...I typically hang up bass at the end of Sept. I'll chase salmon in the rivers for a couple of months, then fish for cutts in my local lakes til early spring for...
