Re: Led Light Bar?

Good point on the lights when meeting other boats. I don't meet very many boats when leaving the Siuslaw bar. Thanks for the suggestion of the FLIR. I looked at the prices and capabilities. The...

I looked at some light bars and see that they like to put floods on the outside ends. I also see the bars can be straight or curved. My thinking is to go with a straight bar to get most of the light...

Re: Led Light Bar?

Thanks for the input Eric. I saw another post and they mentioned problems with reflections off the front of the boat. I will have to look at ways to mitigate the reflection. I was thinking that I...

Re: Winchester salmon

I was on the beach at 9:00 am and saw the boats crabbing. The boats that caught fish were not visible, so my guess would be 200 to 300 ft. I repeat that is a guess.

The fish checker tallied two fin clipped coho today in Florence by noon. Two different boats. Saw three limits of crab, taken in 40 to 50 ft.

Good Luck,

I had not been paying too much attention to the direction of the troll except last trip out. We were trolling north and picked up three fish in a half mile stretch. I made a 180 and trolled the...

Crabbing in Florence

Crabbed for an hour with 5 pots south of the jettys. Caught 31 keepers, 35 to 45 feet. Some were soft and went back, but lots of crab.
