I just stumbled on a great recipe.. or I mean I put it together. Let's see if I can get it right on paper. Sure was good on the plate!

OK, made some brown and wild rice and let it steam while I put some baby green beans in a tupperware container with a tablespoon of water. Put it in the microwave till right before dinner was done.

Then take

1 cube of unsalted TILLAMOOK butter.
1 good tomato (If you can find one!) Seed it and cut in very small squares.
Fresh garlic (lots!)
chopped sweet onion
4 Tbsp of Caravelle sweet chili sauce (I get mine at Freddies. That's some good stuff!)
A dash of Marjoram, just for color

Melt the butter and saute the onions and garlic till transparent, or almost--
Add the rest of the ingredients and heat till just before bubbly
Add the shrimp and watch carefully. The worst thing you can do to shrimp is overcook. Just cook them till barely pink! While you are cooking the shrimp, turn the green beans on high for 3 minutes. No more! Just barely steam the cute little things.

On the plate, make good toast points of some kind
Arrange the green beans all straight and nice on the plate
Put a mound of the rice mix in the middle and the shrimp on the outside of the plate.
Pour a bit of the butter over the entire festival.
You know, in a back and forth kinda swirly thing!

Oh my gosh, this is good!

Then, we are having fresh fruit crisp for dessert.

I think I'm happy, happy!

Bam!

How many prawns? About a pound? This sounds like a nice simple recipe with good flavor. I think I will try it with the added kick of habenero, since I can't seem to cook without the added heat.

Thanks!

I used a bag from Freddies... Enough to serve two to three.
I'm making it again tonight.
I bought that huge bag of petite green beans from Costco. Man, those are good.

I'm making this again, tonight.

I'm tired of BBQ!

It's a good fast thing to make where you don't have to heat up your kitchen.

Man, you all should try this. It's fast becoming a family favorite!

Oh. But this time I'm adding halibut chunks to it--
I have more people to feed than I have shrimps.

oh my gosh! I just learned something!

I was worried that the halibut would cook quicker than the prawns. I was right!

I'm glad I did this.

I soaked the hali in lime for a half hour to cook it just a tad.

Then, come prawn time, I dumped it all in, and sure enough, done at the same time!

Man, that was good! I am so paranoid of overcooking prawns. These were the great huge ones, so it's even harder. The SECOND they show signs of being done, OUT GOES THE FLAME!

making this again, tonight...
Hey... I accidently bought prawns without being deveined or peeled. What a lesson I learned. Like.. It's easy! And cheaper!

Tonight, I chopped up green, red and yellow peppers real tiny to add, instead of tomatoes. That, and garlic and onions. Will report back.

Had not seen this one before, tried it last night with some jumbo prawns...

OUTSTANDING!

I saute'd some green beans in a wee bit of Kung Pao sauce and they were the perfect accompaniament! $3.49 a lb for organic hydroponic green beans in January... and worth it.
