I have a 2005 North River Trapper that takes on considerable water in the bilge. I have not swamped the boat, and when I take it out and pull it up the ramp the water pours out when I take out the plug. The inspection plate on the pump has the O-ring intact and not crushed.
Any Ideas? I am planning on having my wife back the boat in while I look down into the bilge with the engine cover up.
Thanks, Matt

Flat on the trailer, fill'er up with the hose as far as you want, or untill the tires get to squatting pretty good. You will see exactly where is is leaking in, 'er out in this case.

Hey, thats a lot easier. I thought about the river solution, find the leak and get the wife out for some steelhead fishing. :smash: :smash:Matt

Good luck, man I hate leaks :hoboy:

Hopefully you can find where she is leaking on the trailer. A lot of the times though the boat has to be flexing or something in operation before it will leak. My 05 Seahawk leaked and it drove us crazy trying to find where it was coming from. Turns out it was from the power cable that ran through the hull to the trim tabs. The power cable was short so everytime you used your trim tabs, the cable would pull thus opening a hole for the water to come in.

Good luck :flowered:

Thanks, it is kind of disappointing to have a new boat that takes on water. It is especially disappointing when your buddy with a 50 year old boat says "thats about how much my old boat takes on".
