anyone know anything about the Lowe Roughneck boats? looking to buy a new boat specifically for hunting and this seems to have everything i want. i really like the forward mounted console and the layout.
how is the quality/reputation of these boats? specifically, i am looking at the Lowe 1655D Roughneck.

I have the 1760 Huskey Jon, bought it new in 1992 it is tiller. It has been a great boat for duck hunting and fishing. I had a custom frame fabercated for the blind on both sides and has shower curtains to open and close the blind. I think I am getting some water now in some leaky rivets but haven't looked hard yet, its not enough to warent worrying about it. I have a 60/40 jet on it and if you can see water you can run it. Its been a great boat and I hope I never get rid of it.

seen the new willie duck boat?
Why not get a NW welded aluminum boat and paint it. Or order it in Olive drab. You will pay more, but you get what you pay for!

Get a G3. They are all welded and have the same features available as the Lowe. I had one for three years and beat the crap out of it. I could not hurt it.

Owned a Lowe 1752, with the tunnel, not at all happy with the hull. Had some majior problems with welds breaking. I would go with the G3 over the Lowe. Have several freinds who have G3"s and no problems.
