here is my favorite Winter Warm drink treat - without spirits it is excellent and really makes a kitchen smell wonderful - add your favorite brandy for that extra adult kick
Christmas Wassail
Serves: 8-12
Ingredients:
* 1 gallon apple cider
* 25-30 whole cloves
* 6-10 cinnamon sticks
* 1 quart pineapple juice
* 1 6 ounce can frozen orange juice concentrate
Mix all ingredients in a large pot and simmer. Serve hot.

Sounds good! I'll have to give it a try the x-mas eve :yay:
How much brandy do you usually add?

I'm going to make this tomorrow for a work party, so I stopped at Cash n Carry and found a stellar deal on whole cloves. Big container (like a Costco-sized container) was less than $6, and since I saw the regular sized spice jar here locally for $10...very cool.

I made some Christmas Eve for the In Laws and then again Christmas Day at my folks place. I used AppleJack Brandy...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
It was a big hit! I might bring this in a thermos for those nippy days out in the boat!
Thanks for the recipe :cheers:
