Do you use them on your kickers or your big motor or both?

Been there, done that. Broke two of them ,and went to a stainless prop. The slightest brush with a stick or other debris would shear a blade or two off.
Now I have a Jet, and don't worry anymore.

When I dinged up my aluminum prop on my ski boat, I replaced it with one of the plastic props. I really like the idea of 'em--replace a blade instead of a whole prop. However, I did see a loss of performance. When I got money, I went back to the aluminum one. Now the plastic prop sits in bow of the boat as a spare. That may have been, though, because they didn't make an exact match for my boat's prop.
As to strength...well, I dug a trench with the plastic one once. The blades took some minor damage, but they looked as good (or better) than an aluminum one would have after.

My boat had one of those COMPPROP from Cabelas on it when i bought it. During springer season one year we hit something motoring on the Willamette and took it from 13" to 9" and we where still able to make 25mph. The impresive thing about the situation is all this happened in the dark and we didn't find the dammage untill we took the boat out of the water.
I put another compprop on and use me aluminum for a spare.

I put a COMPPROP on my 75 Honda and I am very happy with it. I had a slight vibration at low rpm's with the stock 3 blade aluminum, the dealer said it was "harmonics" and normal, and a ss prop would eliminate that problem. I did not care for the price of a ss prop, nor the lower unit damage that can occur on a prop strike with a ss prop. So I bought the COMPPROP to see if the vibration would go away (it did) and to have a spare prop. The COMPPROP is a 4 blade with same pitch and diameter as the stock aluminum 3 blade. I have never put the aluminum prop back on the motor, it is now my spare.

I don't know about the replaceable blade props, but I run a Comprop on a my 16' Bass tracker with a 35 hp Mercury. I have been very pleased with the prop. No performance loss and very economical. My aluminum is now my spare.
