Big D WS to TC Steelhead Trip?

I'm looking ahead and assuming that the Deschutes is open in November from WS to TC for steelhead. I've floated this stretch many, many times for redsides, but never for SH. I'm looking for someone experienced with steelhead fishing in this stretch to show me how. I'll drive, my boat (have heater), etc. I'll ask for help with shuttle. Looking at 2nd or 3rd week in November. Any takers?

You may want to check the regs. The indian side use to close at the end of October. While there is plenty of water on our side, some of the best steelhead water IMO is on the indian side. I hate to say it, but you may even want to just take the mountain bike and beat the drift boat traffic to those runs. Good luck!

Man! I would love to take you up on that, but November is a hard month for me---midterms in the beginning and finals at the end. :hoboy:

I use three rules while SH fishing the D.

Wade deep, If your not up to your elbows your not deep enough.

Cast far.

Cast and step.
I wish I could go with you, I hate working.
