Sorry did we I can’t remember. You know what they say I would forget my head if it was not up my butt. The last one I remember was last fall about November. Whoo knows. Well are people still up for it?

I should have a nymph or two that I could swap out, but my question is are these supposed to be tied by ourselves or can a store bought one work? I am not a tye-guy just yet... will figure out which one I want to swap and post after I figure out if I am "qualified"...

You guys rock!

I see no problem with swaping store bought. rp

I'll offer up some articulated wiggle nymphs. This will be my 1st swap, but I always thought this kind of swap was about fishermen swapping their good patterns with each other, not store bought .99 cheapies. Just my .02. Ryan, please pm me know all the info I need, address, $$, etc.
Thanks, Rick

Mandinga... I truly appreciate the encouragement, but no vice, no materials and no know-how... means a pretty ugly looking nymph, I gotta figure... and I am pretty sure this wasn't labelled a hook swap, cuz that's about as good as I could offer!

I should be getting a dozen in the mail here any day... will check how they look and see if I can identify them by name and probably take part.

Is the swap 1-for-1 or is it (Number of participants)-for-(Number of participants)... please pardon my ignorence... I am new to these swaps, and contests (haven't even caught qualifier for the coho, summer steel or trout comps!) and well... I just need to fish more.

Ryan Pultz

they way it word is if we get 10 people on the swap you send in 10 fly's of the same thing like I will be putting in x amount of green rock worms once I get everyones nymphs I split them up and everyone gets one of everyone elses flies back so you send in ten of the same and get ten difrent flies back. Does that help. rp

Guys, I will need to bow out this time. I don't have ten nymphs that match, for starters. I don't want to commit to something I am unable to follow-through on. Hopefully by mid-next year I will have time for a tying class and a workbench... when I get there, I will be better positioned to swap. Right now, though, I am too green to offer anything of value to anyone else!
Sorry to take a name off the list.

Edit:
Upon further review the only thing I could swap is Size 6 Brindles and I am 99% sure they're not nymphs... sorry, wish I could contribute. Searun Cutts (Not Seacrest) Out!

I'll contribute a steelhead/trout nymph. Exact color/pattern to be determined.

However, I will need some time because I will be out of town a lot in the near future. How about mid to late November?

Ryan Pultz
10-21-2005, 02:20 PM
I was thinking of a mid november due date any ways so what do you all say the flies are due to me by Friday Nov 18th rp

My latte' should either be cold or gone by then. :jester:

AndyK

18 Nov. will work. Put me down for a "steelhead" nymph and I'll decide on the specific pattern later.

Several patterns are a cross between a copper john and a green rock worm. Since both of those are already in the swap, I'll get some thing a little different that will still catch steelhead and trout.

Darn...I would love to sign up but school has me swamped! Good luck w/ the swap!

Oncorhynchus
10-22-2005, 09:26 PM
I'd be happy to participate in the swap. I could do some bead head PTs. Size 16, favorite Deschutes fly. Let me know the full details as I will be gone the second week of Nov chasing the elusive wapati!!!!

Ryan Pultz
10-22-2005, 10:13 PM
Oncorhynchus sounds good come on people we got 9 we could use a few more people for this one. You do not have to tie the best flies it is all fun and gets you a bunch of different flies you don’t normally tie. rp
