Deschutes Steel Report (Kinda)

After much help from others, a conflict in our schedules made it impossible to float the Deschutes, so we opted out for a little still water fishing at Gold Lake. It was a beautiful day and eventhough we didn't make a serious dent in the brookie population, we landed our share and most importantly my buddy had a great day.

We enjoyed a great shore lunch / BBQ and drank a few suds in remembrance to his brother. We've already planned our float on the Deschutes thanks to the tips / information I got here for you folks, thanks again.

My friend is also wanting to go on a bird hunt or two which is a step in the right direction.

Hey Gettin, did you see the post about a possible hunt in late January/ early Feb? Trying to get it together also if you do hit the big D you can do a cast and blast.
