My youngest Son-in-law and I are heading down the Wild and Scenic Rogue for 3 days next weekend. This will be trip 40+ for me. My old drift boat could probably do it without me. This will be his first trip, and he's excited about it. He landed his first Steelhead on a fly this fall. In the past he has hooked up to big fish a number of times, but failed to land them. I hope it is one of those great trips the Rogue is capable of providing. He grew up in Huntington Beach where the Steelhead fishing is notoriously poor. My youngest daughter and he just bought a house and moved to Grants Pass this summer to be close to the fishing. He just ordered some fly tying tools, and wants me to teach him how to tie flies. It's fun to "pass it on".

I will be doing the same trip putting on 11/10 and taking out 11/12. What should I expect in the way of fishing?

You'll have a great trip. You'll probably even catch some fish. Post some pics so we can all know what we missed.

Wind Knot...that sounds like a whirlwind trip. I'd look for Coho's and you should also find some Steelhead.
