Crooked River Report?

Hello all,

I will taking my girlfriend over to the Crooked this weekend for her 1st flyfishing trip. I would appreciate any recent fishing info (i.e. hatches, etc.) I have fished it often enough to know the 'scuds, scuds, and more scuds' mantra, but would like to know if anyone can pm me or post some extra tips so as to increase her chances of success.

I will post pics and give a trip report next week.

this time of year, it's a caddis deal. Slow water caddis, in dark grey to be precise. Also standard elk hair in a few colors. Bring dark ones though. also some midge patterns.PM me and I'll offer some more info if you'd like. Have fun!! Wish I could go.

I can save you the P.M. from Green Butt Skunk. He will just tell you all he has learned about drying off after falling in. It applies to any body of water, not just the Crooked. He just uses the private message route because he is too embarassed to post his drying off tips in the open forum.
