Spent most of Saturday night in the ER. Stomach has been bothering me most of the summer, and finally found out the reason why. I have a peptic ulcer (or ulcers) and I guess one finally let loose Saturday afternoon. About the most painful thing I have ever expierenced. Appearently the ER doc was betting on a burst appendix until the CAT scan showed otherwise. Painful enough that 2 shots of morphine didn't even make it feel better. Finally they gave me a shot of something stronger than the morphine (???) that gave some relief. It was a pretty scary deal.

So anyway, I'm headed back to the gut doctor in the AM. The good news is now that we know what it is we can work on fixing it, and that is a relief in its own way. I would appriciate any that would join me in prayer for a both a speedy recovery and that God might guide me in taking better care of myself and having healthier eating habits so that I might accomplish His will better in my life and the lives of those around me, especially my kids. Thanks. :flowered:

UG,
Sorry to hear that. Doesn't sound like any fun to me. I will pray that you get better soon and that your doctor finds a good solution to get your condition under control.

Brad I am praying for you. Your faith has kept you refreshingly strong and postive, despite this highly discomforting ordeal.

Probably I think its a combination of not eating healthy, trying to cram too much stuff into my life, and not turning some of those painful thing in life over to God soon enough or completely enough. The good news is that those are all things I can change. :flowered:

Brad.
Aint no fun when your tummy hurts. Will pray for a speedy recovery. I take stuff to limit the acid my tummy produces so I don't get heart burn all the time.It makes life BEAR :yay: ABLE.

I have a friend that suffered a bleeding ulcer, mainly because he ignored the warning signs. He was forced to give up coffee, all analgesics like aspirin and ibuprofen, but most importantly lower his stress level.

He's doing well now, thank God.

I'm glad you caught your's early, and I will pray for your complete recovery. :angel1:
