Getting old is a pain.
I floated the Siletz yesterday. You can imagine how I must of felt when I slipped into my Waders and discovered I grabbed the wrong Boot. I had one Wading boot and one Snow boot. That would have been OK but they were both Left Feet.
After a day of fishing that really hurt.
I feel so stupid......Fortunatly no one else was fishing near there and I didn't get noticed..... :jester:

I don't think getting old had anything to do with grabbing two left feet.

Seems like anybody could make that mistake with one eye shut at odarkthirty... unless of course that snow boot was actually a moon boot.
The bigger question is, since you were in the driftboat, why not just go bootless all day?

Maybe theres something in the air Abalone. I went sea run fishing with Mike (mpruit) Saturday morning. Got clear down to the Nehalem river and discovered I brought the wrong rod tube. Well I was real thankful Mike had brought a second rod. Thanks again Mike...
P.S. the hunting season must be over.
Welcome back. :ooo:

I bought a pair of wading shoes in sante fe once, drove 3 hours to the famed san juan. Went to open the box and found TWO left footed shoes! It really sucked. I was so deparate I tried to use them. Bad idea! Ended up wearing sneakers. Worse idea. Tailwater is very cold, and the bottom is mre than a tad slipery.

Abalone - My buddy and I are both 21, and just the other day, as we started to push the drift boat down a slide, he realized he did the exact same thing you did; one left wading boot, one left hunting boot (full of rounds, might I add). So age has NOTHING to do with it! The fish were none the wiser, either...
