Last week I went to Trillium. Caught a bunch of small trout. 21 Friend caught 32. I lost one big trophy but friend caught two, 16" and 18" The point of this was that my Creek Company pontoon oar popped off into the lake!! And it does not float!! Also had two screws come loose from my chair. The main point is that Creek Company mailed the parts back to me!! Free!! If you are thinking about buying one from Creek Company, GO FOR IT!!! Nice company.
The problem left is that it will be about 6 months before I go back into the lakes. (March) Do not know what I am going to do. Just have to go fishing some place!!!

JF,
Why do you have to wait until March to go back into the lakes? I don't know where you live, so I assume that they close. There are a number of lakes in Washgingon/Oregon that stay open all year.

My flyfishing buddy is my ride. He does not go in the rivers or he closes the trips off in October through March.
Gave up my drivers license when I had surgery many years ago.

I have an ODC 1018 and love it. I haven't had any problems with mine except ones I made for myself. I cranked the ring on my oar too tight and stripped it. I got it fixed right away because of their fast shipping. I think it took two days for my replacment part to get to me after I called them.

Yes they treat us well. I do have problems with the screws in the chair. (They sent 4 new screws) The first screw fell out into the lake the fourth time I went fishing. The wind kept my legs moving hard. I had to look hard to get the right size screws. Had to add as the screw were too large. Worked well 9 trips. Had been looking close for problems. No problems. Did not look again and oops!! The part broke in the bottum. Will look very close next!!
Thanks for the info.

I just sent a thank you to the company. They had sent me the 4 screws if I needed them, 2 bushings and the oar!! The pontoon has life time guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for the life of product to the original owner. It said that the metal parts may rust and are not covered under warranty. What he said was that he wants to keep a customer with them!! He has me!!
