No luck with the fly rods but took home one bbq special via other means. :wink: The best part was I only saw one other person on the whole float, and he was banking it from some private land... gotta love those toon boats. :yay: So far, every time I am out with visions of landing a chinook with the fly rod I have come to the realization that I have no clue what I'm doing. :whazzup: Oh well, eventually it will click... then ziiiinnnggg. Plenty of liquid sunshine on the coast so weather wasn't a factor.

Say it ain't so. :depressed: Nothing hurts worse than losing a good fishing partner... except maybe losing a source for great bait. :wink:
Actually, I was just using that technique as a fishfinder, then switching to the fly rod once I located a fish. Had the bobber twitched even once, I would have immediately reeled in and cast a fly; unfortunately, the fish didn't give me the chance. :hoboy:
