On a recent trip to Aspen for a wedding I snuck off to fish some gold medal water called the Frying Pan. Here's some fo the photos. Hard fishing, sight casting and smart fish. It was a blast.

It was all drys. The biggest bug I used was a #16 PMD with a #22 cripple trailing. The #22 was what caught most of the fish.

Nice pics. Back in 1985 while living in Boulder I fished the Frying Pan in February. Talk about cold! But the fishing was really good. After my fingers froze off I got in the VW van and drove to the dam, and found guys ice fishing! My fingers warmed up in 1989.

Just read about that river in "Death, Taxes, and Leaky Waders". Nice to actually see it. Thank you.
