You want it you got it! The Fishin went GREAT. I dont think ANYONE came back with under 20 bass (alot were dinks, but a fish is a fight). My group (Shalom, EBG, and myself) brought in 10 over 12in, biggest being 15 1/4. I know Bucketmouth had some nice ones because I helped release them. Here are some pics from the fishin:

Yesterday at the fish-in, Codfish and I did pretty good. Our biggest fish, caught by Codfish, was 1lb 14ozs. My biggest fish was 14". We caught several other decent fish, all together we figured about 40, and quite a few more dinks. Most fish were hooked on crawdad patern cranks, the biggest came on a chartruse spinner-bait. We also caught a few fish on soft plastics as well. We had doubles a couple times, and several of the fish we caught had crawdad parts or minnow tails still in their throat. We fished 'till our hands were soar! All in all a great day!

It looks like everyone had a good time yesterday. Fishfeet & I went up the Multnomah Channel where we found the fishing to be ok but not great. Here is a picture of one of the nicer ones we caught.

Most of our fish came on plastics and crank baits.

As an added bonus, we saw this deer swimming across the channel. It was just making shore when I snapped this picture.

But the coup de grace of the day was when fishfeet spotted this. Now I know many of you have seen animals swimming across the water, but how many of you have something like this!

http://www.ifish.net/gallery/data/500/cyote.jpg

Yes, that is a coyote! One of the strangest things I had ever seen. When we saw him we drove up near him and took a few pictures. He was'nt having any of it though and would not pose for a good picture. This was the best shot we got of him.

After the fish-in, Fishfeet, his brother & I drove up to Cedar Oak and put back into the river. We then fished up by the falls and caught several more smallmouth bass on crankbaits and plastics.

All in all it was a great day.

Don't worry about it Cliff. All you missed was spending all day unhooking those pesky spunky smallmouth bass that kept hammering our crankbaits. :jester:

Atowers, it was great fishing with you yesterday. We will have to hook up again and go put the :smash: to them again! Looking forward to the Silver Lake fishin in 2 weeks.

I hear ya Cliff. I'm sorry I missed it as well. :depressed:
Looks like everyone did well & had a good time.

But I caught 30lb TUNA instead. You know that feeling you get when you toss a senko to the edge of the pads and a big LM instantly erupts on it?????......
Now imagine thowing a 2oz swim bait on light gear to jumping TUNA! Same feeling!!! :yay: What a hoot!
But tiring!

But I wish I wouldn't have had to choose.
But I'm very pleased you had fun.

CODFISH.. I like the paint on your boat. My Tracker will look similar one day. Need to quit fishing so much and get to painting, duck season will be here soon!

Bucketmouth, AWESOME PICS! :applause: :applause:

Maybe next time,
W.Tracker

bucketM - great fish.

Did you catch any :smash:thing significant after I saw you on Wednesday [9/28] on the willammette. I got a 13" and some 12"s fishing drop offs above the state park. Big fish were hard to come by.

ps: please send me your email address - my computer went south while I went north this summer -- jls

Hey sjack, it was really good to see you out on the water. I left about 20 minutes after you ran up by the park. Had to get my daughter from shcool.

Had occasion to return to the marina area later that day as I took my daughter to the State Park to play a game of disc golf. Saw your vehicle still in the parking lot around 4:20 ish. Appears you put in a long day.

The big fish were certainly ellusive that day. I went again the next day on the lower willamette with Bill Egan and we caught some nice fish down there. Here is a picture of one of them.

Click on my user name. That will take you to my home page. My email is listed there.

Besides being good to see you on the river, its great to see you post here on ifish again. This is your fist post in 2 years. You're really burnning up the air-ways there dude!

Next time, you should take a trip to the south. Maybe your computer will stay in tact.

Great pics, thanks for the reply - I just had trouble finding it. Just pilot error on my part - learning the ifish system.

Thanks

I would love to get out on the River and catch some fish like that. I have only caught one small mouth ever and it was at hagg on a popper. I wondering if some one could give me some advice where to go Thanks

Bad Wood ,
Read the post fishing the Willamette in the Ore. City area. Go to Henry Hagg today and talk to the Ore Bass And Panfish Club . There are a lot of Bass fishermen there that will be glad to help you out .

Alabama Redneck ,
I just retuned from Brownlee Resivoir from Cpappie and Pearch fishing . The Crappies average size was 12" . They wern't as easy to catch as past trips have been , but well worth the extra effort when you found them . I will be going back next June . Maybe i will see to up there .

DO you guys think we could have one a little closer to home. I know there is some of us out there who would be willing to go to one at say Hagg or maybe scappoose bay but not one up at silver. I know silver has a great fishery but thats just a thought I thought I would throw out there.
