As a result of some very unfortunate circumstances, we have decided to leave the church where we have been attending for the last 12 years - where I learned about leading worship. Our family is now looking for a new place to worship. It is my prayer that God will lead us to the right place, where my wife and I can again offer our gifts.
Thanks and God's Peace!

I will be praying for you and your family. When you leave a church home it is a loss , and can feel very traumatic, more so to some family members than others. You are in my thoughts.

I’ll be praying. I’m sorry for your difficult situation. God will provide as He always does. If you are looking for a church in the general area, let me know. I know of a good one.

I understand the pain and loss. I will pray for you and your family. And may God show you to a place of worship that "fits".
Yes it is tough to leave a church, we left Sandy Baptist after 26 years, I miss my friends that we left But the new church we are going to has so much more to offer, and the preachers keep me awake 99% of the time. :yay:
Praying for you.

Kerry, our family will pray for yours that God will lead you to a church. Sometimes change allows growth and I hope that will be true for you all.

My prayers are with you.
Also, I thought you'd be interested in a chapter of "A purpose driven life" about churches, and the temptations to leave.
It may or may not have anything to do with what you are going through... but I was just led to mention it. I don't know why. I just do as I'm led!

Thanks, all! I appreciate the prayers and words of encouragement. This has been equivalent to leaving one's family - heart wrenching. But I have felt this coming for some time. For the time being, we are in a state of reflective flux, praying that we're led to where God would have us. I'll keep you posted as we to a little church hopping for a time.
Jen - I'm on day 4. I look forward to reading that chapter to see if it applies.
God's peace!
