Hehehe. Those March fish seem pretty great compared to the doldrums of August, eh? I am really looking forward to September/October fish, actually. Not quite time for our "year in review", but getting closer!!! Bust out the waders and 10' drift rods--it is almost time to switch gears!! ...but not QUITE yet...just close...

On Saturday I found the secret to hooking a big bass at Silver is to give your soft plastic a unique action that can only be achieved by picking at a severe backlash. She got away. :depressed: Other than that one it was mostly smaller fish for us.

The other trick is to fish a senko on 6lb test under a heavily wooded dock. :hoboy: Learned that one a couple weeks ago.

if you keep the tip of the hook inside the senko and your fishing really slow then heavily wooded docks are ok.. so I have learned.. BUT a crank bait from shore with alot of large stones in less then 4ft of water... NOW THATS THE TRICK!

Getting the senko through is not a problem, It was trying to get the big bass with it's lips wrapped around it out of there with 6lb test that failed to work!
