I've heard there is some good bass fishing at Lake Lytle. I have a bunch of folks coming around this weekend and have promised some of the kids a fishing trip, or two. I was thinking I could just take them out to L.L., but have no idea how to catch a bass there. Will crank baits and poppers do the trick? Any advice or help would be nice, thanks! :help:

Bass are bass anywhere you go. At this time of year i would start with buzzbaits and spinnerbaits but its a small lake and your small poppers and tiny torpedo's should pull some bass out of those weeds. Also try small plastic worms. Remember to keep your baits small, a good rule of thumb is small lake use small baits, large lake use large baits. Good luck. Please let us know how you do.

Thanks Smokey, I'm just hoping to get some action for the kids. But hey, if it's good I may go back just for me! I'll let you know!

Senkos near the reeds, buzzbaits everywhere else. crankbaits are impossible to fish there right now. I would solidly disagree with the previous rule of thumb. It's a good lake- good luck!
