I'll be spending the next couple months in Spokane with lots of time to fish. I talked to a guy at Sportsman's today and it sounds like I need a boat to get to most of the good bass spots, I might bring mine up after the Holliday, maybe. Any ways, if anyone can point me in the right direction for some decent fishing I would really appreciate it; I'll be on the bank for at least the next couple weeks. Any help would be great. I'm also trying to figure out if I need to spring for both the WA and ID license or if I can just get by with one.

Thanks,

Brian

Closer to Spokane, Sprague lake is a good one, judging from the results my club posted during a T there. I haven't been there myself, but the highway and railroad run alongside the lake, so foot access should be pretty easy. There's a resort, and I believe rental boats available. It can be pretty windy, and as it runs East-West, it may be better to be on shore.

I have fished Chapman Lake, near Cheney, and it also has a resort, with rentals, if I remember correctly. There are a lot of lakes in the Cheney area SW of Spokane, and N. of Spokane, with lots of shore access. Banks Lake and Lk. Roosevelt are not all that far, but rental boats are rare, shore access is pretty good. I think you should be plenty busy without an Idaho license. C&R, Steve

Try Eloika Lake North of Spokane. It used to be a great Bass lake. My first thought is to check with a local sporting goods store for info. They will know some good places. Been a long time since I fished the area but there used to be some good bass places. Chapman lake was always my favorite and had boats to rent.
