I floated Warm Springs to Trout Creek for two days this week. The weather was pretty warm in the canyon and the fishing was slow. Looks like the August "doldrums" have set in. Hatches were very light; not even many caddis around.

I hope it picks up as we will be there from Wendsday to Sunday, if no fish or too hot look out rainbow tavern, the cooles place there, A/C.
Floated WS to TC on Wed/Thur. Very little pressure but very little action aswell. The evening rise didn't happen, nor any real surface activity the next day. Plenty of bugs on the water and you could sneak a fish or two on a dry fly if you worked the shadows of tree canopys close to the bank. Took a few on nymphs but overall the fishing was slower than what I would have expected. On a positive note, there's nothing like soaking in the Deschutes on a 100 degree day. A modest breeze kept it relatively cool out of the sun.
