Wich pump provides better value for the money as an all around pump based on everything being equal the same hull, power and load :shrug:

The 212 hands down. Better reverse, less cavitation in white water, better resale, and allows you have dual controls. The 312 is about $1,000 cheaper, is faster out of the hole, and quieter than the 212. But it is a pressure pump and you got to watch out for sand!! They are actually both very good pumps, I would personally take the 212.
