I really would love to have a wet/deck style boat with a wash down and self draining setup. My current boat is a 1977 20' searay cuddy with a OMC 190 I/O. I like the hull on this boat but would like to move up to a boat that is set up as a fishing boat. After looking at several walk around style boats and the $$ I have started wondering what it might take to convert my searay into a self draining hull. I'm thinking some fiberglass work to isolate the engine/bilge area and some new drain holes and valves for the deck drains. Has anyone ever done this? Advise and opinions would be welcome
