If you fish the Deschutes then take a look at the steelhead counts over Bonneville and The Dalles dams.
Here is the link

Bonneville fish cam and dam counts (http://www.nwp.usace.army.mil/op/b/fishcam.asp?rn=04-116)

Scroll down for the link to the daily counts over the Columbia river dams

Thanks Stew! So, what kind of patterns work up there? I'm planning on taking the drifter up there within the next week to give it a try. Any help with patterns and sizes would be appreciated.

Thanks,

CrF

Watch the water temp. also because if it's 65 degrees or warmer any fish you might hook will get stressed out more easily than in cooler water.
I like steelhead muddlers, red winged blackbirds and of course green butt skunk tied sparse.
It's very early yet but I've heard reports that a few fish are being taken near the mouth. I like the east side the best.
Good luck
