I cannot say enough good things about my friend and bamboo rod master Mike Hoffman  Like I said before the masters touch on this rod was all his and I actually did very little. What I did do was just prep work and assist Mike mostly
I now have two M Hoffman bamboo fly rods and it's really hard to look at graphite the same way.
Mike will be our guest speaker at Washington County Fly Fishers in October so come on out and see him in person
Here are some pictures of the finished rod

STEW, that is awesome. Nice work. :applause:

I'm wondering what your doing on labor day weekend. If you have plans, can I borrow the rod?

Stew,

Beautiful rod. You are a lucky man to have hooked up with Mike.

That is truely something to be proud of. I hope the joy it brings you reflects the beauty of the rod.

Have you named it?

I know just the place I'd use it ... well, actually, a couple places that would do the rod justice and where the fish would honor a rod of such grace. Do you have plans for initiating it?

awesome and something to be proud of forever.
I have a feeling that first fish on your creation
will be one of the best

stew, have you gained the experience and knowledge it will take to build a rod like that on your own?

If I had all the right equipment and Mike right there to guide me through the tough stuff yes I could if I wanted to take a year to do it. Will I ever get the right equipment?.....nope :hoboy: I fully realize the labor it takes to make one of these rods and therefore I see the justification for the high price.
Mike has the right equipment to do it. He also has a ton of patience and with this stuff that is an invaluable asset :bigshock:I was glad to be able to do the work that I did do on this rod and rely on Mikes expertise to make sure it turned out to be the excellent rod that it is.
So CM I hope that answers your question
