Boat is a 1985 Bayliner 1850,with a Volvo Penta AQ125A.
The prop I am running now is a 15 X 14 C and at 4000 RPM I am
moving at 25 MPH. The problem is that I can easily over rev the engine. I would like to have the RPMs top out at 4800 at whatever speed it attains, and not have the chance of over reving. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
One other problem is that at idle speed in forward gear the boat wants to wander left and right, and I have been working on not overstearing. With a troll plate on it steers perfectly straight. At planing speeds it steers perfectly as in hands off, and it tracks straight ahead.
