Any really easy to use products for removing salt water corosion from Aluminum. My boat is basically new and I like to keep it looking that way. I have just a little oxidation/corosion on the hull. Just looking for some great ideas to remove or polish it out. I have tried a few products. They just really wear you arm out.

Sharkhide does wonders for protecting from oxidation. Aluminum boats quickly look like they've been sitting in oil/fuel saturated water. Not mine though:) It's nt too tough to put on and most of my rig is still in great shape after it first season.

When I bought my boat, the guys at motionmarine told me to wipe the hull down with lemon pledge a couple times a year to help "seal" the aluminum. Took it into the salt last fall & it seems to work... I've missed a couple spots that are hard to get to under the trailer & you can definitely tell the difference between what I've wiped down & what I missed.

I bought an aluminum boat to reduce maintance. Its painted inside and out.If I never wash it or wax it or clean it, It will still be here long after I am gone. The little bit of corroision it gets will take hundreds of yrs to eat through 1/8 inch sides. If I wanted a pretty boat I would have bought a glass one.

Your resale value will reflect the care you have taken in your boat. I hope to get top dollar when I sell. You keep your ugly boat and I'll keep mine looking nice. Thanks to the other Ifishers for their tips!

I bought mine to use not resell. If I was worried about the money I would get out of it I would have put my money in the bank and sat on the river bank and laughed at the people wasting their money catching all the fish. The money in the resale of a boat is in the motor not the hull.If you don't believe me just see what you can get out of a 10 yr old hull.It doesn't matter if its shinny or not.
