Hey all, was wondering if there were any boat dimension expert or someone who might have an opinion on this: If there was a base boat with for example 8' of beam and 24' in length and required maybe 150 horses to push it to a max speed of say 30. Which one of the following boats would result in needed more horses, max speed, or fuel comsumption?
~a boat with the same beam of 8' and an increased length of about 5', would the length cause for a need for a larger motor?
~a boat with a beam of 9' and the same length as the base boat?
Another, which of the boats would be more bouyant?
To sum it all up, all I'm really asking is what is more influential to a boat's performance; the mean or the length?
:help: :help: :help: Thanks, David
