Well my bamboo rod guru Mike (Indiana Jones) Hoffman returned from Thailand in one piece...sort of and we are entering the home stretch of my most excellent bamboo rod :dance:
That contraption is one of the coolest rod winding devices I have ever seen

Mike is "stacking" the silk thread so there are no gaps. If you could see Mikes work you would appreciate his attention to detail
