Need anchor and bowmount.
Anyone know where I can lay my hands on one and fast???
Oh yeah, I'm up near Bellingham and don't mind driving a ways.

Portland Performance Marine has the bow mounts for your boat. Gi Joes has river anchors, anchor pullers, and all the rope you need.

Your North River dealer should also have the bowmount....thats where I got mine.

That is one way to find a couple places to get an anchor fast - ask nice and nobody helps - say you got it for x price and everyone jumps at the chance to tell you where you can get it for 1/2

 :shrug:What do you mean no one helps?? Maybe you should re-read the thread. All everyone was doing was helping. Not only did I tell him where he could get those things I then came back along with others and basically told him he got ripped off. Wouldn’t you want to know if you got ripped off. Maybe he bought some extravagant anchor set-up that’s worth that much but he never came back and explained what he paid for.

Ya your probably right - he did have the info to go ask NR, GI Joes and what not from your post. This is probably poked me to say this - suggesting that someone go to their dealer is only so useful - I found it interesting that everyone itemized what he needed and prices from each location once he had purchased something - that sort of info may have been more useful to him in the original answers.
Liken it to getting back from lunch and you have a phone message with a name you do not regognize and a phone number - wouldn't it better if the person who took the massage also got some more information like the nature of the call to make that phone message a more useful communication item.
Looking at 3Rivers site he got one of two anchors and may have had them mount it - pure guess.
So a long way of saying your right, I'm not, but I think we can all do a better job of trying to help someone - I know I can.

If I had to take a guess, I suspect that he purchased a couple of anchor systems from 3 rivers. They offer an interchangable system that acommodates a typical Columbia river anchor. They also offer a system that uses a "bucket" type bracket for a "bullet" or Cowlitz type anchor. He may have purchased a couple of anchors, two nest systems, rope, chain, anchor ball, and anchor pulley. A couple of hundred bucks worth of install and you walk out the door with all you ever wanted!

I did not mention where to get his stuff in the begining because he is from Bellingham and I do not know what stores or what they carry up there. I figured one of his local guys would point him in the right direction. I just happened to have bought some of this stuff recently and knew the cost. I would want to know if I over paid for something. We don't really know what he got for his money though.
