I'm putting a wash down system in my 20' open Alumaweld sled and need some advice on which system you're happy with. Also any lessons you've learned or advice on rigging would be great! :help: Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

I installed ours last year, however, our boat a Hewes 179 is a different configuration, so I'm not sure my way will work for you.
Anyhow, after all the considerations of drilling thru the hull below the waterline, safety valves, disimilar metals and corrosion, potential siphoning if the hose developed a leak, I said the heck with it and instead of drilling thru the hull, just installed the inlet hose (with screen on it) in the splashwell. When I want water, I just drop the hose over the transom. The system stays primed. It's not as elegant an installation but I think it's a much safer one.
