Rigging Kicker off of main tank ?

Anything special about rigging the kicker off of the main engine tank? My fuel/water separater has two inlets and outlets and I would assume I'd simply tap into the second intake with the kicker line. Will this cause any problems if they both happen to be running at the same time (usually don't shut off the main until the kicker is going)

Thats the way I have always done it and it works perfect for me.
I put a squeeze ball on each line going to the motors.
When I make a move and run the big motor I usually let it run for a while before shutting down but have the kicker running. Many times I have forgotten to turn off the big motor and after the troll it's still running.
